Key Responsibilities:
- Global Transport Ambassador: Translate global logistics network initiatives into context and direction for sites; maintain understanding of site strategies/projects and their implications.
- Pilot in Command: Lead high-impact end-to-end global projects aligned with Global Transport Tier 3 and Global Logistics Tier 4 priorities, delivering measurable and sustainable value.
- Tech Translator: Lead early adoption of next-generation technologies; translate day-to-day operations/plant requirements into global digital/system needs and identify process/system gaps for actionable plans.
- Global Transport Budget Lifecycle Management Owner: Lead regional budget construction and forecasting; orchestrate end-to-end transportation and packaging spend.
- Operational Translator: Translate product criticality, patient impact, and commercial value into differentiated and resilient transport solutions.
- Global Transport Core Operations: Manage end-to-end transportation lifecycle governance, strategic vendor performance/relationships, and packaging solutions inventory control.
What You Will Achieve:
- Global Transport Core Operations: Accountable for global transportation lifecycle management for shipments out of and respective sites/scope; partner with Global Command Center and Transport Capabilities; serve as primary interface with Plants and internal functions; manage logistics providers and packaging solutions; ensure strategic regional vendor management.
- Global Transport Budget Lifecycle Management: Lead regional budget construction/forecasting; deliver bottom-up activity-based budgets; manage actual/forecast/budget controls and mitigations; connect operational parameters to budget.
- External Provider Management: Oversee logistics providers; pursue value creation via optimization/consolidation/dynamic routing; coordinate business/ops reviews; scan logistics market for innovation.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive end-to-end global projects aligned to Tier priorities; pursue end-to-end lead-time reduction; apply IMEX operational excellence; review/respond to KPIs.
- Audit and Compliance: Ensure adherence to operational policies/procedures and internal controls; manage activities in accordance with EU GDP/GMP and/or local legislation; support audits and CAPA.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree + 6 years experience; OR Masterโs + 5 years; OR PhD + 1+ years.
- Experience in Pharmaceutical and/or high-volume Consumer Goods, or with a global logistics services provider.
- Leadership and negotiation skills.
- Project management experience/skills.
- AI and machine learning proficiency (preferred).
- Cross-functional relationship-building and excellent communication.
- Analytical/data-driven decision-making; able to handle complex choices in VUCA with limited information.
- Effective communication with internal/external partners and senior management.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft, Transportation Management Software, SAP MM/SD, etc.).
- Leads change management processes.
