Role Summary
Global Procurement Category Lead - Sales Enablement focuses on developing and implementing category strategy for Sales Enablement, leveraging procurement to drive end-to-end value for patients, HCPs, and GSK. The role touches end products and HCP engagement, aiming to protect the bottom line while enabling top-line growth through faster speed to market and improved patient access.
Responsibilities
- Creation and ongoing management of the Procurement category strategy for Sales Enablement for North America, delivering requirements across assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and innovation.
- Leverage AI via Procurementβs digital tools for sourcing, contracting, and risk identification and management.
- Run competitive sourcing processes (RFP/RFQ/eAuctions) to identify new suppliers and solutions aligned to evolving business needs.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms in line with business requirements.
- Partner with Local Procurement colleagues to execute strategic initiatives.
- Build strategic relationships with GSK stakeholders to understand requirements, identify value opportunities, and align sourcing strategies.
- Lead stakeholder alignment and annual value plan delivery.
- Lead SRM for key strategic vendors to collaborate on innovative solutions; manage key suppliers through performance management processes.
Qualifications
- Required: 5+ years of commercial procurement experience; Bachelor's Degree.
- Required: Understanding of the link between marketing, sales and HCP engagement.
- Required: Procurement experience in developing and implementing strategies, stakeholder management, supplier relationship management, and some regulated environment experience.
- Required: Experience influencing strategy and managing across multiple markets; contracting experience including planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership and effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of procurement tools and processes such as sourcing, RFPs, contract negotiation, supplier review and development.
- Ability to motivate in a matrix structure and drive change.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills; ability to manage sensitive partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- English proficiency; other languages a plus.
- Knowledge of finance (cost benchmarking, financial audits with key suppliers) and contracting law.
- Experience in managing global projects.
