Key Responsibilities
- Support defining medical narrative and strategic imperatives; develop roadmap for delivery across portfolio
- Use medical expertise to ensure relevance and rigor of medical strategy
- Contribute to an integrated evidence plan (e.g., real-world evidence, observational studies, phase IV) to address unmet needs, evidence gaps, and competitive advantages
- Filter and communicate insights on disease areas, competitive landscape, and unmet medical needs
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant science, literature, disease state, and landscape trends
- Support medical education strategy and country readiness
- Support congress activities, including symposia
- Cultivate relationships with thought leaders, rising stars, and rare endocrinology reference centers
- Share insights with healthcare professionals via 1:1 meetings and conferences
- Plan and execute advisory boards and key KOL meetings (speaker bureau, preceptorship)
- Provide expert medical input for reimbursement and policy-related activities
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and global regulatory requirements
- Support country medical teams aligned with global medical strategy
Requirements
- MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent
- 5+ years in pharma industry, preferably Medical Affairs
- Ability to interpret and articulate clinical data
- Knowledge of compliant medical affairs practices
- Biotech/pharma experience (local and global), including drug development and Medical Affairs
- Cross-functional matrix experience and ability to build trusted partnerships
- Translate business needs into actionable plans
- Manage multiple projects; prioritize; communicate effectively
- Exceptional oral and written communication
- In-depth understanding of compliance/regulatory requirements for Medical Affairs, R&D, and Commercial
- International travel; occasional weekend travel; up to 20%
