Medical Affairs
OBJECTIVES
- Collaborate with GMUH-Nephrology to develop and execute a multi-year vision for mezagitamab and IgAN, providing scientific support aligned with the Global Project Team (GPT) and global brand strategy (cross-functional: Clinical, Commercial, Regulatory, PV, HEOR/Market Access, DD&T, Regions/countries as appropriate).
- Develop and lead end-to-end cross-functional execution of the Global Medical strategy for assigned indications, aligned across the Medical Strategy Team (MST) and functional leads; leverage digital/technology-forward initiatives as appropriate.
- Lead development and dissemination of a clear, consistent scientific narrative for internal and external audiences with scientific communication partners.
- Lead global medical launch readiness (scientific narrative, medical training, advisory boards, cross-functional alignment).
- Provide medical review advice for global promotional and non-promotional materials.
- Represent the company with external scientific leaders, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory authorities.
- Establish strategic partnerships with KOLs and key stakeholders.
- Leverage AI/machine learning technologies to help HCP/Nephrologists in patient care.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and implement Global Medical Affairs (GMA) strategy aligned to product and regional/local strategies.
- Lead cross-functional teams/MST to translate strategy into actionable medical plans with prioritization, accountability, and timely execution.
- Collaborate with commercial partners on aligned, medically appropriate strategy and execution.
- Support design and execution of clinical studies (Phase IV, registries, epidemiology, outcomes surveys, etc.).
- Serve as Global Medical representative on cross-functional teams; navigate governance and influence decisions.
- Participate in development of digital therapeutic evidence-based interventions for chronic skin conditions.
- Support country/regional projects as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE / SKILLS (Preferred/Required)
- Preferred: Medical degree (MD/DO/MBBS); doctorate in life sciences (PhD/PharmD) considered based on experience.
- Preferred: Nephrology and/or IgAN.
- Required: 5–8 years biopharmaceutical medicine experience with Global Medical Affairs strategy execution and cross-functional leadership; proven track record executing global medical plans and delivering high-impact medical activities.
- Strongly preferred: Global Medical pre-launch/launch readiness experience.
- Preferred/Required: Experience in digital health and AI/machine learning in medical affairs; knowledge of global pharmaceutical regulations.
- Preferred: Cross-functional team experience at brand/disease area levels (country/regional/global).
- Demonstrated business acumen/operational skills; strategic/tactical thinking with strong execution.
