Main Responsibilities
- Own and drive TA-aligned stakeholder engagement strategy connected to Disease Area Strategy and TA priorities (global-to-local).
- Participate in TA strategic governance; surface risks/opportunities early.
- Define engagement ways of working, decision frameworks, prioritization logic, operating model, and governance readouts; advise countries/teams on sequencing.
- Prioritize and refresh strategic expert and medical society portfolio using defined criteria/data signals; differentiate established KOLs vs emerging scientific influencers.
- Drive cross-TA forums (e.g., Immunology Strategic Council) as relevant.
- Orchestrate across Medical TA, Clinical Development, Commercial, Affiliates, GTMC, Digital, Public Affairs/Patient, and Patient Safety to deliver a single coordinated engagement plan.
- Deploy enterprise frameworks/tools (e.g., Stakeholder Engagement Framework/TraiL, Medical Insight-to-Strategy/MedIS, Launch Excellence/SILC); translate strategy into scalable operational mechanisms (templates, segmentation, refresh cadence).
- Ensure an end-to-end insights loop from engagement outcomes to TA decisions; deliver evidence-based performance readouts.
- Ensure high-performance congress delivery (pre-planning, objectives, coverage model, post-event insights/actions); partner to advance omnichannel engagement.
- Ensure all activities meet scientific engagement governance and cross-functional boundaries.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) or MSc with equivalent experience; MBA plus.
- Immunology experience required; preference for Dermatology, Respiratory, Gastro-Intestinal, or Rheumatology depth.
- 6+ years in Medical Affairs (or related strategic scientific roles); field medical/affiliate experience valued.
- Experience making clear calls with imperfect information; articulate tradeoffs.
- Experience with datasets/dashboards; translating analysis into decisions/executive materials.
- Influences without direct authority; builds repeatable ways of working and governance cadences.
- Executive presence; pragmatic problem-solving; comfort with ambiguity.
- Curiosity, thoughtful risk-taking; proactive cross-functional trust.
- English fluency; additional languages plus.
- International travel required.
