Global Medical Director, Chronic Weight Management

What You Will Do
- Support development and delivery of the Global medical affairs strategy in Chronic Weight Management (evidence generation, medical communication, external engagement).
- Provide scientific and strategic support to the Global Medical Asset Lead (GMAL) and product lifecycle management across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with GMAL to develop/execute global medical affairs strategy across the product lifecycle.
- Drive medical input to lifecycle management (launch readiness, evidence generation, evidence dissemination, long-term strategy).
- Identify evidence gaps and execute global evidence generation plans (RWE, investigator-sponsored research, publication strategies).
- Interpret, communicate, and apply clinical/scientific data to inform medical, regulatory, and cross-functional decisions.
- Represent Medical Affairs on cross-functional teams (Clinical Development, Regulatory, HEOR/RWE, Commercial, Market Access, Scientific Communications).
- Generate medical insights from external engagements; translate into strategic recommendations.
- Build and maintain relationships with thought leaders, investigators, societies, advocacy groups, and payers.
- Lead publication planning and scientific communications (congress strategy, abstracts, manuscripts, education).
- Support clinical development (study design input, protocol review, data interpretation, results communication).
- Provide medical leadership for advisory boards, panels, and investigator meetings; collaborate on benefit-risk and labeling/risk management.
- Oversee promotional/non-promotional materials; serve as SME in obesity/cardiometabolic disease.
- Lead matrix teams; ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and standards.

Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 4 years medical affairs experience; OR Masterโ€™s + 8 years; OR Bachelorโ€™s + 10 years.
- At least 4 years leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs or directing resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications
- MD/DO, PharmD, or PhD with significant industry Medical Affairs experience.
- Deep obesity/chronic weight management/cardiometabolic expertise.
- Evidence generation strategy experience (including RWE/observational/investigator-sponsored studies).
- Launch-readiness/global cross-functional experience and strong publication/scientific communication.
- Experience with incretin-based therapies (GLP-1, GIP, multi-agonist) and obesity treatment paradigms.
- Knowledge of GCP, global regulatory requirements, and industry compliance.
- Ability to influence without authority; strong strategic/business/problem-solving skills.
