Role Summary
The Global Employee Equity Lead is responsible for the administration and continuous improvement of the company’s global equity programs. As a key member of the Global Remuneration Team, the Equity Lead will oversee the life cycle of equity processes under the Equity Incentive Plan (EIP) and the Employee Share/Stock Purchasing Plans (ESPP) across APAC, Americas and EMEA, and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure accurate, compliant, and employee-centric delivery of equity programs.
Responsibilities
- Equity Program Management
- Lead the administration of global equity programs including offers, grants, allocations and vestings
- Collaborate with legal and tax advisors to ensure compliance with international tax and regulatory requirements and mitigated risk
- Ensure equity events are processed accurately and timely, in accordance with plan rules and local requirements
- Support the Finance team to complete reporting and processing of equity exercises
- Work with the share plan administrators to maintain accurate records and system data in equity platforms
- Employee Communication and Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee equity-related questions and education
- Develop and deliver educational materials and training sessions to increase understanding and engagement in equity compensation
- Partner with P&C Business Partners to support onboarding and offboarding equity
- Compliance and Reporting
- Provide input to Finance and Company Secretary teams to ensure compliance with local tax, securities, and employment laws
- Assist with regulatory filing requirements and audits
- Assist Finance to complete IFRS 2 charges related to all equity grants and support half yearly audits
- Generate reports and insights to identify equity metrics
- Process Improvement and Project Management
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the employee experience
- Lead and support equity projects including new plans, mergers/acquisitions, system integrations
- Model equity grant scenarios as part of the Global Remuneration team
- Global Remuneration
- Provide input and support to the Director, Global Remuneration for global remuneration management, incentive programs, data analysis and insights
- Support the preparation of annual remuneration disclosures for ASX/Nasdaq
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR, or a related field
- 5+ years of operational experience in global equity administration in a global, public company environment (Australia and US preferred, minimum one)
- Experience supporting the preparation of Australian/US remuneration reports
- Understanding of equity instruments, tax regulations, and public company disclosure requirements (Australia and US)
- Knowledge of IFRS 2 ‘Share based payments’ standards and principles
- Proficiency using equity administration platforms (e.g., JP Morgan Global Shares, MUFG, Computershare, Shareworks, Boardroom)
- Strong Excel and data management skills; familiarity with HRIS programs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to translate complex equity topics for diverse audiences
