Role Overview:
Global Chief Medical Officer (CMO) providing senior clinical development leadership for clinical programs in the United States and China; oversee global clinical development strategy, ensuring safety, efficacy, regulatory compliance, and shaping the clinical vision.

Responsibilities:
- Lead global clinical development strategy and execution for the pipeline.
- Oversee clinical trial design and execution (Phase I–IV) for cell therapy products.
- Manage clinical teams across the US and China (medical/scientific, pharmacovigilance, clinical operations, site management, biometrics, data integrity).
- Serve as a key clinical resource with regulators (FDA, EMA, NMPA) and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Build and lead cross-functional, cross-geography clinical development teams.
- Mentor clinical teams; foster collaboration and scientific rigor.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders (partners, academics, CROs, KOLs, regulators).
- Ensure compliance with GxP/ICH and work with Regulatory Affairs on agency interactions.
- Guide IND/CTA and other regulatory submissions.
- Oversee clinical trial conduct, data interpretation, quality, monitoring, reporting, and risk management (safety monitoring/adverse events).
- Provide thought leadership in cell and gene therapy; lead/represent at conferences and meetings.
- Collaborate with Research/Preclinical/Translation; support Commercial/Medical Affairs for launch/post-marketing; provide clinical input for business development and investor updates.

Requirements:
- MD or MD/PhD; specialization in oncology, immunology, hematology (additional clinical pharmacology/cell & gene therapy/molecular biology desirable).
- 15+ years in clinical development; significant cell/gene therapy or advanced biologics experience.
- Early and late-stage development success; led programs from Phase I to commercialization (US and China preferred).
- Deep knowledge of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and GxP compliance.
- Experience leading complex global clinical operations and budgets; cross-border/multinational trials.
- Prior CMO or senior medical leadership role in commercial-stage biopharma (pharma and biotech experience desirable).
- Strong cross-functional leadership; excellent communication; English fluency (Mandarin plus).
- Cell-based therapy experience (e.g., CAR-T, stem cell, gene therapy) highly desirable.

Base Pay Range:
$434,828 USD - $570,710 USD
