Main Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier and technology market analysis with benchmarking; share global supplier market expertise.
- Contribute to procurement sourcing team and business partners to build category/sub-category strategies with measurable benefits.
- Anticipate and consolidate business needs; develop action plans; execute negotiations; facilitate implementation.
- Ensure effective execution of category sourcing plans aligned with global strategy and regional/country needs.
- Deliver world-class total savings objectives.
- Ensure procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intel, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality) within perimeter.
- Manage business reviews with key suppliers (as mandated).
- Optimize purchasing of goods and services within Global EM to meet internal customer needs and company procedures.
- Develop reports/activity dashboards; maintain standard costs and relevant KPIs.
- Support Controlling reporting activities per category.
- Provide market trends, budget assumptions, and LRP to procurement network.
- Support annual budget, PPV, and PO processes.
- Drive new market opportunities (new suppliers/technologies/substitution products, etc.).
- Lead and conduct RFPs using an e-sourcing tool.
- Drive supplier negotiations within assigned perimeter.
- Lead S.R.M. programs (as assigned) and use Lean concepts to improve supplier performance.
- Support DPO objectives with suppliers.
- Where applicable, achieve inventory targets (with Supply Chain).
- Ensure proper business partnering at global/regional level; act as procurement focal point and facilitator.
- Ensure integration across M&S, business, and procurement network; collaborate with procurement peers; maintain interfaces with P2P, Finance, Legal, and other teams.
- Ensure operational sourcing/action plan aligns with category management strategy/orientation; advise and/or participate in strategic negotiations.
- Maintain robust procurement skills via Procurement Academy and training; participate in audit-related training.
- Conduct compliance sanity checks; manage pre- and post-audits; support crisis management.

Qualifications / Education & Experience
- Bachelorโ€™s degree (minimum); no certifications required.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- 7+ years in Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Quality, or related Pharmaceutical industry; leadership experience desirable.
- Preferred: experience in drug substance and/or drug product.
- Preferred: procurement and/or international experience.

Technical Skills (Required/Preferred)
- Preferred demonstrated knowledge of procurement systems, processes, and procedures.
- Analytical and negotiation skills; ability to manage business issues.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams locally and internationally.
- Basic understanding of ERP (e.g., SAP) and financial practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Management.
