Role Summary:
Global Associate Director Medical Affairs (GADMA) supports execution of the Global Medical & Scientific Affairs (GMSA) portion for assigned Therapeutic Areas (TA) in alignment with Global Value & Implementation (V&I) Plans. Focus on US with support for Rest of World (ROW).
Responsibilities:
- Support execution of the annual V&I plan; make strategic, informed decisions.
- Partner on global medical affairs team meetings and tactics.
- Ensure execution of agreed medical tactics and apply best practices.
- With direction from EDMA/GDMA, collaborate with Commercial, Outcomes Research, Policy, and Market Access to develop and execute V&I plans.
- Consolidate actionable medical insights from countries/regions.
- Organize expert input events (advisory boards, expert input forums), global symposia, and educational meetings.
- Support identification and communication of global/regional content and training requirements.
- Engage international scientific leaders and key stakeholders (guidelines committees, payers, public groups, government officials, medical societies); monitor external environment with Competitive Intelligence.
- Manage programs to support appropriate and safe utilization (patient support, educational, risk management).
- Champion Ways of Working and define team priorities with patient impact.
- Manage assigned budget with strong financial stewardship.
- Participate in Investigator-Initiated Study proposal reviews.
Qualifications (Required):
- MD/PhD/PharmD with recognized medical expertise.
- 2+ years pharmaceutical (or related) industry experience in medical affairs.
- Strong prioritization/decision-making; effective matrix collaboration.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication (written/oral) and project management skills.
Preferred:
- Scientific leadership and experience with key stakeholders in assigned therapeutic area.
