Role Summary
GI Key Account Manager (Veneto & Friuli Venezia Giulia) with responsibility to implement GI Business Unit sales plans within the assigned territory, aligning with BU objectives and local regulations. Drive relationships with physicians, KOLs, and medical institutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute strategy and promote products ethically and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Schedule own business activities aligned with BU objectives, planning interviews/meetings and recording information to improve sales effectiveness.
- Provide daily/monthly reports to the First Line Manager on area performance and changes; negotiate action plans to drive BU results.
- Implement promotional activities for company's products (projects, events, conferences) within budget constraints.
- Identify, develop, and foster long-lasting peer-to-peer relationships with key physicians, KOLs, and academic centers; ensure ethical exchange of scientific information.
- Develop and sustain relationships with key medical institutions and academic societies.
- Comply with Compliance Guidelines, Code of Conduct, and Promotional Practices; adhere to Takedaβs policies.
- Serve as liaison to the GI team by providing marketplace intelligence/insights to influence promotional strategy/resources.
- Define plans for accounts in partnership with line manager; adjust tactics to account needs; segment/target accounts; set priorities and Real Time Goals/objectives.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Sales to align strategy and execution.
- Drive scientific engagement with HCPs through traditional and digital channels; leverage AI to enhance training, data analysis, segmentation, and targeting.
Qualifications
- Educational qualification: Scientific University Degree (mandatory).
- Solid field experience: 3β5 years.
- English: good written and spoken (minimum B2).
- Experience in Immunology is preferred.
- Residence preference: Padua, Venice, or Treviso.
Experience
- Solid experience promoting pharmaceutical products with strong clinical explanation and a proven track record.
Skills
- Concise and effective verbal and written communication.
- Strong presentation skills; proficient with PowerPoint.
- Thirst for knowledge across technical, clinical, medical, scientific, and digital areas; ability to present data clearly and discuss statistical/clinical relevance.
- Knowledge of disease management based on international guidelines or local protocols.
- Digital fluency.

- Knowledge of the Italian healthcare system.

- Experience with AI-enabled forecasting and segmentation tools (e.g., TODAI, next best action).
- Use of digital platforms for personalized training and continuous learning.

- openness to integrating AI agents for repetitive tasks while maintaining human-centric decision-making.
Physical Demands & Travel Requirements
- Ability to drive or fly to attend meetings, audits, and training.
