Position Summary:
The Flex MSL provides on-demand and proactive field medical support, including backfilling temporary vacancies, expanding engagement, and covering an expanded group of KOLs. Provides credible, fair-balanced, science-driven medical information to support appropriate clinical use of Travereβs therapies and advance understanding of rare kidney diseases.
Top priorities: proactive scientific exchange with community nephrologists and APPs; on-demand MSL territory support; medical project support.
Responsibilities:
- Scientific exchange (non-promotional): conduct fair-balanced, on-label discussions; respond to unsolicited requests; escalate complex inquiries; deliver medical presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
- Coverage & continuity: short-term KOL/institution/account coverage; maintain territory relationships and update plans to transition back to MSL.
- Education & support: deliver compliant medical education (1:1/small group) on priority topics (disease state, MOA, safety/REMS); stay current on literature and emerging rare kidney disease data.
- Congress support: scientific presence and logistical coordination at regional/national congresses.
- Insight generation: document HCP insights, medical trends, unmet needs; route high-value insights to Medical Strategy owners.
- Documentation & compliance: record interactions in CRM (e.g., Veeva) within 48 hours; follow medical/compliance guardrails.
- Project support: plan, coordinate, and implement medical projects.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strongly preferred advanced degree (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP) in a relevant discipline; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
- 2+ years MSL experience in pharma/biotech (clinical/academic experience may be considered).
- Strongly preferred experience in nephrology or rare disease (particularly IgAN or FSGS).
- Plus: success supporting new product launches.
- Experience with KOLs, medical congresses, and cross-functional matrix teams.

- Excellent communication/presentation skills; ability to tailor content.
- Knowledge of FDA guidelines/regulations and PhRMA code.

- Field-based; must live in territory; travel 60β80%.
