Position Summary:
- Provide on-demand and proactive field medical support as a Flex MSL, including backfilling temporary vacancies, expanding engagement, and covering an expanded group of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Deliver fair-balanced, science-driven medical information to support appropriate clinical use of Travere therapies and advance understanding of rare kidney diseases.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct fair-balanced, on-label scientific exchanges; respond to unsolicited requests; escalate complex inquiries to Medical Information.
- Provide medical presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
- Provide short-term KOL/institution/account coverage as needed; maintain territory relationships and support continuity.
- Deliver compliant medical education (1:1 or small group) on priority topics (disease state, MOA, safety/REMS) and maintain knowledge of literature and emerging data.
- Provide scientific presence and logistical coordination at regional/national congresses.
- Document HCP insights, medical trends, and unmet needs; route high-value insights to Medical Strategy owners.
- Record interactions in CRM (e.g., Veeva) within 48 hours and follow Medical/Compliance guardrails.
- Support planning and implementation of medical projects.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Advanced degree strongly preferred (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, NP).
- 2+ years of MSL experience in pharmaceutical/biotech; relevant clinical/academic experience may count.
- Strong preference: nephrology or rare disease experience (IgAN or FSGS).
- Plus: experience supporting new product launches.
- Experience with KOLs, medical congresses, and cross-functional matrix teams.

Additional Skills/Requirements:
- Strong scientific acumen and peer-to-peer KOL engagement.
- Excellent communication/presentation; ability to synthesize compliant, balanced scientific info.
- Strategic thinking, collaboration, project management, proactive problem solving; comfortable in fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of FDA/PhRMA and compliance standards.
- Proficiency with CRM (e.g., Veeva), field reporting, and virtual engagement tools.
- Field-based; live in territory.
- Travel up to 60–80%; some evening/weekend work.

Compensation:
- Target base pay range: $162,000–$211,000.
