Position Summary:
- The Flex MSL provides on-demand and proactive field medical support, including backfilling temporary vacancies, expanding engagement, and covering an expanded group of KOLs. Provides credible, fair-balanced, science-driven medical information to support appropriate clinical use of Travere therapies and advance understanding of rare kidney diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct fair-balanced, on-label scientific discussions; respond to unsolicited requests; escalate complex inquiries as needed.
- Deliver medical presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
- Provide short-term KOL/institution/account coverage based on organizational needs and maintain territory relationships.
- Deliver compliant medical education (1:1 or small group) on priority topics (disease state, MOA, safety/REMS).
- Maintain knowledge of scientific literature, treatment landscapes, and emerging rare kidney disease data.
- Provide scientific presence and logistical coordination at regional and national congresses.
- Document HCP insights, medical trends, and unmet needs; route high-value insights to Medical Strategy owners.
- Record interactions in CRM (e.g., Veeva) within 48 hours and follow Medical/Compliance guardrails.
- Contribute to planning, coordination, and implementation of medical projects.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Advanced degree strongly preferred (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP) in a relevant discipline.
- 2+ years MSL experience in pharma/biotech (clinical/academic experience may be considered).
- Nephrology or rare disease experience (strongly preferred: IgAN or FSGS).
- Plus: demonstrated success supporting new product launches; KOL/congress/matrix team experience.
Additional Skills/Requirements:
- Scientific expertise and peer-to-peer engagement with KOLs.
- Strong communication/presentation skills; ability to synthesize and share balanced, compliant information.
- Strategic, collaborative, capable of project management; proactive problem solver.
- Knowledge of FDA guidelines/regulations and PhRMA code; CRM proficiency (e.g., Veeva).
- Field-based; must live in territory.
- Travel up to 60β80%; some evening/weekend work.

- Target base pay range: $162,000.00β$211,000.00.
