Position Summary:
The Flex MSL provides on-demand and proactive field medical support, including backfilling vacancies, expanding KOL coverage, and providing science-driven medical information to support appropriate clinical use of therapies and advance understanding of rare kidney diseases.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct fair-balanced, on-label scientific discussions; respond to unsolicited requests; escalate complex inquiries.
- Deliver medical presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
- Provide short-term KOL/institution/account coverage based on organizational needs and maintain territory relationships.
- Deliver compliant medical education (1:1/small group) on priority topics (disease state, MOA, safety/REMS).
- Maintain knowledge of scientific literature and emerging data in rare kidney disease.
- Provide scientific presence and logistical coordination at regional/national congresses.
- Document HCP insights, medical trends, and unmet needs; route high-value insights to Medical Strategy owners.
- Record interactions in CRM (e.g., Veeva) within 48 hours; follow medical/compliance guardrails.
- Support planning/coordination/implementation of medical projects.

Qualifications:
- Advanced degree strongly preferred (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP); equivalent education/experience may be considered.
- 2+ years MSL experience in pharma/biotech.
- Strongly preferred: nephrology/rare disease experience (IgAN or FSGS).
- Plus: experience supporting new product launches; work with KOLs, congresses, cross-functional teams.

Additional Skills/Requirements:
- Deep scientific expertise; strong peer-to-peer dialogue with KOLs.
- Excellent communication/presentation; compliant, balanced synthesis.
- Strategic, collaborative, strong project management; proactive problem solver.
- Knowledge of FDA/PhRMA and other compliance standards; CRM (e.g., Veeva) and virtual tools.
- Field-based; must live in territory. Travel 60–80%; some evenings/weekends.

Benefits/Compensation:

- Target base pay range: $162,000–$211,000.
