Position Summary:
Flex MSL provides on-demand and proactive field medical support, including KOL/institution coverage and support for rare kidney disease scientific exchange and medical projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct fair-balanced, on-label scientific discussions; respond to unsolicited requests; escalate complex inquiries to Medical Information.
- Deliver medical presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
- Provide short-term KOL/institution/account coverage based on organizational needs.
- Deliver compliant medical education (1:1 or small group) on priority topics (disease state, MOA, safety/REMS) and maintain knowledge of literature and emerging data.
- Provide scientific presence and logistical coordination at regional/national congresses.
- Document HCP insights, medical trends, and unmet needs; route high-value insights to Medical Strategy owners.
- Record interactions in CRM within 48 hours and follow medical/compliance guardrails.
- Support planning/coordination/implementation of medical projects.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Advanced degree strongly preferred (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP) in relevant field (or equivalent combination).
- 2+ years MSL experience in pharma/biotech (clinical/academic experience considered).
- Strongly preferred: nephrology or rare disease experience (IgAN or FSGS); success supporting new product launches; experience with KOLs/congresses/matrix teams.
Skills/Additional Requirements:
- Strong scientific acumen and peer-to-peer dialogue ability with KOLs; excellent communication/presentation; strategic and proactive problem-solver; CRM proficiency (e.g., Veeva), field reporting, virtual tools.
- Field-based: must live in territory.
- Travel up to 60β80%; occasional evenings/weekends.
