Position Summary:
Flex MSL provides on-demand and proactive field medical support, including backfilling/expanding KOL engagement and delivering fair-balanced, science-driven medical information to support appropriate clinical use of therapies and advance understanding of rare kidney diseases.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct non-promotional, on-label scientific exchange; respond to unsolicited requests and escalate complex inquiries as needed.
- Deliver medical presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
- Provide short-term KOL/institution/account coverage based on organizational needs and maintain territory relationships.
- Deliver compliant medical education (1:1 or small group) on priority topics (disease state, MOA, safety/REMS).
- Support regional/national congresses with scientific presence and logistical coordination.
- Document HCP insights, medical trends, and unmet needs; route high-value insights to Medical Strategy owners.
- Record interactions in CRM (e.g., Veeva) within 48 hours; follow Medical/Compliance guardrails.
- Support planning/coordination/implementation of medical projects.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Advanced degree strongly preferred (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP) in a relevant discipline; equivalent education/experience may be considered.
- 2+ years MSL experience in pharma/biotech.
- Strongly preferred: nephrology or rare disease experience (particularly IgAN or FSGS).
- Plus: experience supporting new product launches.
- Experience with KOLs, medical congresses, and cross-functional matrix teams.

Additional Requirements/Skills:
- Deep scientific expertise; strong peer-to-peer dialogue with KOLs.
- Excellent communication/presentation tailored to diverse audiences; compliant, balanced synthesis of scientific info.
- Strategic, collaborative, proactive; strong project management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of FDA/PhRMA and other compliance standards; CRM (Veeva) and virtual engagement tools.
- Field-based; must live in territory; travel 60–80%.

Benefits/Compensation:
- Benefits include premium health, life insurance, disability, retirement with match, and generous paid time off.
- Target base pay range: $162,000–$211,000.
