Position Summary:
The Flex MSL provides on-demand and proactive field medical support, including KOL coverage, scientific information, and medical project support for rare kidney diseases aligned to medical affairs strategy.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct fair-balanced, on-label scientific discussions; respond to unsolicited requests; escalate complex inquiries.
- Deliver medical presentations to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses.
- Provide short-term KOL/institution/account coverage and maintain territory relationships.
- Deliver compliant medical education (1:1 or small group) on priority topics (e.g., disease state, MOA, safety/REMS).
- Maintain knowledge of literature and emerging data in rare kidney disease.
- Support regional/national congress presence and logistics.
- Document HCP insights, medical trends, and unmet needs; route high-value insights.
- Record interactions in CRM (e.g., Veeva) within 48 hours and follow medical/compliance guardrails.
- Support planning/coordination/implementation of medical projects.

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Advanced degree strongly preferred (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA, or NP); equivalent experience may be considered.
- 2+ years MSL experience in pharma/biotech.
- Strongly preferred: nephrology or rare disease experience (IgAN or FSGS).
- Plus: experience supporting new product launches.
- Experience with KOLs, medical congresses, and cross-functional matrix teams.

Additional Skills/Requirements:
- Strong scientific acumen; peer-to-peer dialogue on complex medical topics.
- Excellent communication/presentation; ability to tailor content.
- Strategic thinking, collaboration, project management; manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of FDA/PhRMA and industry standards.
- Proficiency with CRM (e.g., Veeva) and virtual engagement tools.
- Field-based; must live in territory.
- Travel up to 60–80%; evening/weekend work as needed.
