Position Summary:
- Provide on-demand and proactive field medical support as a Flex MSL, including short-term backfill/expanded KOL coverage. Deliver credible, fair-balanced, science-driven medical information to support appropriate clinical use of Travere therapies and advance understanding of rare kidney diseases.

Top priorities:
- Proactive scientific exchange with community nephrologists and advanced practice practitioners (APPs)
- On-demand MSL territory support within a designated region
- Medical project support for the field medical team

Responsibilities:
- Conduct non-promotional, on-label scientific discussions; respond to unsolicited requests; escalate complex inquiries to Medical Information as needed
- Deliver compliant medical education (1:1 or small group) on priority topics (e.g., disease state, MOA, safety/REMS)
- Provide short-term KOL/institution/account coverage based on organizational needs
- Maintain territory relationships and transition back to MSL using updated territory plans
- Provide scientific presence and coordinate logistics at regional/national congresses
- Document HCP insights, medical trends, and unmet needs; route high-value insights to Medical Strategy owners
- Record interactions in CRM (e.g., Veeva) within 48 hours and follow Medical/Compliance guardrails
- Contribute to planning, coordination, and implementation of medical projects

Education/Experience (required/preferred):
- Advanced degree strongly preferred (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant discipline; equivalent experience may be considered
- 2+ years of MSL experience in pharma/biotech (clinical/academic experience may be considered)
- Strongly preferred: nephrology or rare disease experience (particularly IgAN or FSGS)
- Plus: success supporting new product launches; experience with KOLs, congresses, and cross-functional matrix teams

Additional skills:
- Strong scientific acumen; ability to engage in peer-to-peer dialogue with KOLs
- Excellent communication/presentation; tailors content to diverse audiences
- Knowledge of FDA guidelines, PhRMA code, and other compliance standards; CRM/Veeva proficiency
- Field-based; must live in territory; travel 60–80%; some evening/weekend work

Compensation:
- Target base pay range: $162,000.00–$211,000.00 (plus incentive/long-term incentive)
