This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Candidates may live in Jackson, MS; Tupelo, MS; Lafayette, LA; or Baton Rouge, LA.

Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (e.g., specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies (payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes)
- Liaise and collaborate with AbbVie Access and Reimbursement support center to update and relay Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
- Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; relevant equivalent industry experience required
- 3+ yearsโ€™ experience in therapeutic area with Managed Health Care, Payer Account Management, and/or Access & Reimbursement; strong territory/account management
- Extensive experience educating others on payer processes and access-related situations for specialty medicines
- Leadership track record and ability to communicate coding/billing requirements at national/regional level
- Comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C, and D (Medicare) and reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of specialty drug acquisition/dispensing (specialty pharmacies/distributors, white-bagging, etc.)
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services
- Understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction
- Valid driverโ€™s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities/organizations in assigned territory
