Field Reimbursement Manager - Kidney (Central California - Los Angeles & San Bernardino)

Role: Field Reimbursement Manager supporting Vertex's kidney disease therapies, including investigational treatments for IgAN and other genetic kidney conditions. Responsibilities: establish strong relationships with nephrology practices; provide non-promotional education on payer policies, reimbursement pathways, and documentation requirements; troubleshoot access issues; support patient access through affordability programs; develop territory-specific engagement strategies; ensure compliance with legal and privacy standards; and manage multistate accounts prioritizing patient needs and payer landscape. Requirements: Bachelor’s in healthcare, life sciences, or related field; 5+ years in reimbursement, market access, or patient services; experience with biologics or complex pharmacy benefits; proficiency with payer portals, CRM systems, and related tools; strong communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills; ability to travel 50-70%. Preferred: advanced healthcare or business degree, deep knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/commercial insurance, and experience navigating complex access challenges. High-Value: biologics, rare disease therapies, specialty pharmacy, payer ecosystems, and access programs in a fast-paced, growth environment. Work Setup: field-based role with significant travel.
