The Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is a specialized in-office resource for healthcare providers (HCPs) within a designated geographic territory. The FRM addresses patient access and reimbursement inquiries related to AbbVie’s immunology portfolio, provides expertise on coverage/reimbursement challenges and utilization of support tools, and educates on patient prescription status, program eligibility, and payer processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs (including bio coordinators/office staff) on AbbVie patient support programs, including access and reimbursement tools/services.
- Educate on product acquisition options (specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution).
- Educate resources/strategies to address patient access issues.
- Provide localized expertise on national/regional payer policies (coding updates, claims submission methodology).
- Coordinate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement Support Center on prescription status and eligibility updates.
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access teams.
- Establish and maintain provider relationships within the assigned territory.
- Maintain knowledge of managed care, reimbursement, and policy trends.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in immunology, or access and reimbursement with expertise in market access and payer account management.
- Proven leadership; exceptional territory/strategic account management abilities.
- Functional knowledge of access and reimbursement support service centers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain coding/billing requirements (Medicare Parts A, B, C, D and associated reimbursement dynamics).
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate; lead without authority.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Driving personal or company vehicle/equipment; valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
