Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) provides in-office support to healthcare providers (HCPs) in a designated territory, addressing patient access and reimbursement inquiries for AbbVie’s immunology portfolio. Provides expertise on coverage, reimbursement challenges, utilization of AbbVie support tools, and educates on prescription status, program eligibility, and payer processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs (including bio coordinators/office staff) on patient support programs, access, and reimbursement tools/services.
- Educate on product acquisition options (e.g., specialty pharmacy networks/distribution and bagging options).
- Provide resources/strategies to resolve patient access issues.
- Deliver localized expertise on national/regional payer policies and utilization management; updates on medical billing/coding and claims submission.
- Coordinate with Access and Reimbursement Support Center to relay prescription status and eligibility updates.
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access teams.
- Build and maintain provider relationships in the territory.
- Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy trends.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in immunology, or access & reimbursement expertise with market access/payer account management.
- Specialty biologics drug acquisition/dispensing expertise (Buy and Bill; reimbursement analysis; Specialty Pharmacies/Distributors) — immunology preferred.
- Strong territory/account management, leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Functional knowledge of access and reimbursement support service centers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain coding/billing technical requirements across Medicare Parts A/B/C/D.
- Understanding of regulations and risks related to reimbursement support.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; drive personal/company vehicle or powered equipment.
- Grade 18–19 depending on experience.
