This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city (northern side of Denver, Boulder, Wyoming; primarily Cheyenne and Casper, and surrounding areas).
The Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is a specialized in-office resource for healthcare providers (HCPs) within a designated territory. The FRM addresses patient access and reimbursement inquiries related to AbbVie’s immunology portfolio, including coverage, reimbursement challenges, and use of AbbVie support tools, and educates on prescription status, program eligibility, and payer processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs (bio coordinators and/or office staff) on AbbVie patient support programs, including access and reimbursement tools/services.
- Educate on product acquisition options (specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, and bagging options).
- Educate strategies to address patient access issues.
- Provide localized expertise on payer policies and utilization management criteria, including medical billing/coding updates and medical benefit claims submission methodology.
- Collaborate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement Support Center to relay prescription status and program eligibility updates.
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access teams.
- Establish and maintain provider relationships in the territory.
- Maintain knowledge of managed care, reimbursement, and policy trends.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in immunology, or access and reimbursement with market access and payer account management expertise.
- Expertise in specialty biologics drug acquisition/dispensing (Buy and Bill, reimbursement analysis, Specialty Pharmacies/Distributors).
- Strong territory/account management and strategic mindset.
- Proven leadership in current role.
- Functional knowledge of access and reimbursement support service centers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate coding/billing technical requirements across care settings, including Medicare Parts A, B, C and D.
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services.
- Ability to build relationships, collaborate, and lead without authority.
- Grade 18 or 19 depending on experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements; may require driving personal or company vehicle or powered equipment.
