The Immunology Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is a field-based, specialized in-office resource for healthcare providers (HCPs) within an assigned territory. The FRM addresses patient access and reimbursement inquiries for AbbVie’s immunology portfolio, providing expertise on coverage and reimbursement challenges and educating HCPs on patient prescription status, program eligibility, and payer processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs (bio coordinators and/or office staff) on AbbVie patient support programs, including access and reimbursement tools/services.
- Educate on product acquisition options (specialty pharmacy networks, specialty distribution, bagging options).
- Educate resources/strategies to address patient access issues.
- Provide localized expertise on payer policies, utilization management criteria, and updates on medical billing/coding and claims submission.
- Collaborate with the Access and Reimbursement Support Center to relay prescription status and eligibility updates.
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and Market Access teams.
- Establish/maintain provider relationships in the territory.
- Maintain knowledge of managed care, reimbursement, and policy trends.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in immunology, or access and reimbursement with market access/payer account management expertise.
- Expertise in specialty biologics drug acquisition/dispensing (Buy and Bill, reimbursement analysis, specialty pharmacies/distributors).
- Strong territory/account management and leadership in current role.
- Knowledge of access/reimbursement support service centers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of coding/billing requirements nationally/regionally across care settings (Medicare Parts A, B, C, D).
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks for reimbursement support services.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; safe driving.
- Must drive personal auto/company vehicle or powered material handling equipment.
