Role Summary
The Eye Care Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) is a field-based resource that supports HCPs with patient access and reimbursement questions for AbbVie Eye Care products.

Responsibilities
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options (e.g., specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution)
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise on national/regional payer policies (payer issues, coding changes, and claims submission processes)
- Liaise and collaborate with AbbVie’s Access and Reimbursement support center to update and relay Rx status and program eligibility
- Report payer trends for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within territory
- Remain current on key managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business (preferred) or relevant equivalent industry experience (required)
- 3+ years’ experience with managed health care, payer account management, and/or access and reimbursement; excellent territory/account management skills
- Extensive experience educating others on payer processes, coverage requirements, and access situations for specialty medicines
- Leadership track record; ability to communicate coding/billing requirements nationally/regionally
- Comprehensive understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D and reimbursement dynamics
- Strong understanding of specialty drug acquisition/dispensing (specialty pharmacies/distributors, white-bagging)
- Understanding of rules/regulations/risks related to reimbursement support services
- Understanding of access and reimbursement support service centers and compliant interaction
- Valid driver’s license; pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements
- Ability to meet HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain facility entry (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses)
