Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) Responsibilities:
- Execute the external engagement strategy aligned to the therapeutic portfolio and implement the external engagement plan aligned to Therapy area strategies.
- Identify external experts, professional groups, decision makers, and key stakeholders in the assigned therapy area and/or geography.
- Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals regarding licensed/unlicensed GSK medicines and indications; ensure responses are factual, fair and balanced, scientifically rigorous, and comply with GSK standards, local codes, guidelines, and laws.
- Disseminate safety information per Medical Affairs/R&D direction and DHPL process; conduct scientific exchange and deliver scientific/pipeline presentations to formulary committees and HCPs per documented unsolicited requests.
- Maintain expertise in evolving therapeutic/scientific area and competitor medicines/vaccines.
- Attend and contribute (if required) to medical portion of regional account planning/training sessions.
- Attend national and regional scientific/medical meetings to provide medical voice of the customer.
- Support clinical development activities/studies; collaborate with R&D staff; provide insight into research interests and field inquiries.
- Conduct individual meetings/discussions with steering committees, advisory boards, consultants, and investigators.
- Provide scientific training for sales representatives using approved sales training materials; train HCPs to speak on behalf of GSK; assist with speaker training events.
- Partner with matrix colleagues (sales, marketing, market access, etc.) to ensure patient- and business-focused strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pharm.D, Ph.D, DNP, or MD (medical/clinical focus).
- 2+ yearsβ experience in pharmacology/pharmacotherapy in humans with practical clinical application.
- Must live within the specified territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-doctoral clinical/pharmaceutical practice residency.
- Pharmaceutical industry or medical liaison experience (therapeutic area experience preferred); candidates may be considered for Sr. MSL.
- Prior clinical experience with patient-care decision-making authority.
- Above-average computer literacy (software applications).

Benefits/Compensation:
- Annual base salary range (US): $185,625β$309,375 (Cambridge/Waltham/Rockville/San Francisco) or $168,750β$281,250 (other US locations); plus annual bonus and eligibility for share-based long-term incentive.
