Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL)
Responsibilities:
- Execute the external engagement strategy and field engagement plan aligned to the therapeutic portfolio and therapy area.
- Identify external experts, professional groups, decision makers, and key stakeholders in assigned therapy area/geography.
- Respond compliantly to unsolicited healthcare professional information requests; provide factual, balanced, scientifically rigorous responses in line with standards/policies and local codes/laws.
- Disseminate safety information (per Medical Affairs/R&D direction and DHPL process); conduct scientific exchange and deliver scientific/pipeline presentations per documented requests.
- Maintain expertise in therapeutic area and competitor medicines/vaccines.
- Attend and contribute to medical portions of regional account planning/training; attend national/regional scientific meetings.
- Support clinical development activities and investigator/GSK-sponsored studies; collaborate with R&D to improve site performance.
- Hold individual discussions/meetings with steering committees, advisory boards, and consultants.
- Provide scientific training for sales representatives; train HCPs and assist with speaker training events.
- Partner with matrix colleagues to ensure patient- and business-focused strategies.
Qualifications:
- Pharm.D, Ph.D., DNP, or MD (medical/clinical focus).
- 2+ years’ experience in human pharmacology/pharmacotherapy with clinical application.
- Must live within the specified territory.
Preferred:
- Post-doctoral clinical/pharmaceutical practice training.
- Pharma industry or medical liaison experience (therapeutic area experience preferred); possible consideration for Sr. MSL.
- Clinical experience with patient-care decision-making authority.
- Above-average computer literacy.

Compensation/Benefits (US): Base salary $168,750–$281,250 plus annual bonus and eligibility for long-term incentive; health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
