Field Based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) β€” Responsibilities:
- Execute the external engagement strategy aligned to the therapeutic portfolio and implement the external engagement plan aligned to therapy area strategies.
- Identify external experts, professional groups, decision makers, and other key stakeholders in assigned therapy area and/or geography.
- Respond compliantly to unsolicited information requests from healthcare professionals regarding licensed or unlicensed medicines/indications; provide factual, fair, balanced, scientifically rigorous responses in line with standards, policies, and local laws/codes.
- Disseminate safety information as directed; conduct scientific exchange to inform/educate HCPs on appropriate use; deliver scientific/pipeline presentations to formulary committees and HCPs per documented requests.
- Maintain expertise in evolving therapeutic/scientific areas and competitor products.
- Attend medical portion of regional account planning/training (if required) and national/regional scientific/medical meetings.
- Support clinical development activities/studies (GSK and investigator-sponsored) and collaborate with R&D to improve site performance.
- Conduct individual discussions/meetings with steering/advisory members, consultants, and others.
- Provide scientific training for sales representatives and train HCPs/speaker events using approved materials.
- Partner with matrix colleagues to ensure patient- and business-focused strategies that add value to external experts.

Basic Qualifications (Required):
- Pharm.D, Ph.D, DNP, or MD (medical/clinical focus)
- 2+ years’ experience in pharmacology/pharmacotherapy in humans with practical clinical application
- Must live within the specified territory

Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-doctoral residency in clinical/pharmaceutical practice
- Pharmaceutical industry or medical liaison experience (therapeutic area experience); may qualify for Sr. MSL
- Prior clinical experience with decision-making authority for patient care
- Above-average computer literacy
