Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute Oncology Medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers within a territory, coordinating with other Pfizer colleagues to achieve Medical objectives.
- Understand Oncology Medical Affairs priorities and contribute to medical content strategy; execute aligned Field Medical tactics.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with HQ Medical colleagues, Medical Information, and Field Medical colleagues.
- Deliver objective, scientifically sound medical information using pharmacoeconomic models, outcomes tools (including HOPEs), educational programs, non-interventional studies, and collaborations.
- Serve as Oncology Medical lead for assigned customers, developing/executing a Medical account plan; represent Medical Affairs and identify collaboration opportunities to improve patient care.
- Develop and implement Real World Evidence-based outcomes tools and educational programs to improve patient care, close quality gaps, and address population health management.
- Integrate clinical, HIT, market, and account considerations to develop customer-specific projects, partnerships, and non-interventional studies.
- Engage key stakeholders (e.g., Quality Improvement Orgs, advocacy groups, coalitions) to align with strategic Oncology Medical objectives.
- Provide Oncology Medical support for HIT initiatives and analyze workflows to reduce care gaps and improve efficiencies.
- Represent leadership with professional associations; provide approved medical content; keep abreast of scientific developments.
- Respond to unsolicited scientific/pharmacoeconomic requests; collaborate with internal teams (Key Account Directors, Field Medical, HQ Medical, HEOR).
- Coordinate site partnerships for select high-priority U.S. sites and manage a high volume of field projects; maintain training status.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in health science.
- Relevant experience: 10+ years (with bachelor’s); 8+ years (with master’s); 7+ years (with terminal degree).
- Experience in clinical/formulary/managed care/quality improvement; and/or data analytics/HEOR with strong study design and data analysis/interpretation.
- Significant experience interacting with payers/organized customers.
- Excellent oral and written communication; strong interpersonal and leadership skills; strong analytic and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel (including overnight); US Driver’s License required; flexibility for ~40–50% travel.
