Job Summary
- Lead and develop a high-performing regional Field Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team aligned with corporate medical strategies.
- Oversee scientific engagement, performance management, talent development, strategic insight generation, and compliance.
- Report to the National Director, Field Medical Affairs – Inflammation and Autoimmunity.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide day-to-day management of regional field-based MSLs.
- Lead the regional MSL team to support US Medical Affairs goals and align with strategic/tactical medical plans.
- Conduct field management visits to develop territories and address field challenges.
- Serve on the Field Medical Leadership Team to shape field strategies and KPIs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Development, Commercial, Regulatory, and Legal.

Scientific Engagement
- Ensure each MSL executes a regional field medical plan aligned with USMA strategic plans.
- Ensure compliant and impactful scientific exchange with KOLs and HCPs.
- Guide MSLs in building and sustaining stakeholder/institution relationships.
- Oversee regional field medical plan development/execution.

Team Development & Performance Management
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop MSL talent.
- Conduct coaching visits (minimum 2/year per MSL), performance reviews, and individualized development plans.

Medical Communications & Insights
- Collect/synthesize/use field insights to inform internal stakeholders and strategy.
- Partner with Medical Communications to develop MSL tools/resources (e.g., slide decks, FAQs).

Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure MSL activities comply with SOPs, FDA/OIG/PhRMA Code, and internal policies.
- Maintain MSL metrics to measure impact and operational success.

Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) or relevant clinical experience.
- Extensive Medical Affairs experience; preferred MSL team management experience.
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical lifecycle and medical strategy.
- Proven ability to lead a geographically dispersed team.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations (FDA, OIG, PhRMA Code).
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to network with external experts, academic institutions, large group practices, medical directors, pharmacy directors, and other decision stakeholders.
- Travel up to 50% (including to home office).

Preferred Experience
- Strong established relationships with KEEs in relevant therapeutic areas.
- Prior launch experience and clinical trial expertise.
- Strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and operational leadership experience.
- Success in cross-functional collaboration and project execution in a matrixed environment.
