Field Director, Medical Affairs Oncology
Responsibilities:
- Engage as a scientific peer within the gynecologic oncology and broader oncology communities; develop the KOL engagement plan.
- Lead the U.S. Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team in support of Lifyorli (Relacorilant) launch in platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
- Raise awareness of glucocorticoid receptor antagonism in oncology; communicate scientific evidence and advance the oncology scientific platform.
- Deliver clinical presentations and communicate scientific data in one-on-one interactions and at key congresses and forums.
- Build and lead the MSL team; support field medical excellence standards, KPIs, and development frameworks.
- Support national oncology MSL education (onboarding, advanced scientific training, and leadership development).
- Contribute to Medical Affairs strategy for the Relacorilant launch and oncology development programs.
- Coordinate with clinical operations and clinical trial investigators to support oncology trial enrollment.
- Develop congress/meeting presence plans, competitive intelligence coverage, and KOL engagement; mentor MSL meeting leads.
- Communicate field insights/issues to internal stakeholders; support cross-functional alignment.
- Maintain knowledge of gynecologic oncology; participate in identification/publication of scientific materials; facilitate scientific exchange within legal/compliance/regulatory guidelines.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Proficiencies:
- Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and pharmaceutical ethical guidelines.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management.
- Leadership experience in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Sound judgment handling confidential/regulated information.
- Launch experience preferred.
- Travel up to 50–70%.
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, MSN, PhD, etc.).
- 10+ years relevant oncology experience (gyne/onc preferred); at least 7 years MSL field experience preferred.
- Direct leadership experience required.
