Responsibilities:
- Orchestrate integration of advanced technologies (automation, IoT, AI) into manufacturing and laboratory processes.
- Develop the vision and lead execution of the Factory of the Future (FotF) and Lab of the Future (LotF) transformations across global AbbVie sites.
- Work with Manufacturing and Quality leadership to develop and implement a cohesive strategy.
- Lead continuous evolution of next-generation technologies; define standards, best practices, governance, and Lean principles in a secure, scalable, sustainable manner.
- Drive Lighthouse use cases and value capture.
- Develop FotF teams; establish networking roadmaps and governance/alignment with site leaders and VPs.
- Perform robust cost/benefit analyses to support strategic decisions.
- Oversee IoT implementation; ensure secure, scalable IoT ecosystems aligned to business objectives.
- Enhance operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making using IoT.
- Lead project planning and management to support smooth digital transition; manage work plans, weekly status reports, and risk/problem control.
- Communicate with key decision-makers; coordinate pursuit.
- Conduct assessments of culture, performance, and change readiness; build and implement digital/data visualization deliverables.
- Connect digital transformation activities across work streams and ensure adherence to timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate Smart Factory technology use cases to deliver annual savings and performance improvements (asset utilization/OEE, labor, quality, cost, customer satisfaction).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, finance, supply chain, or related field (desired).
- Master’s degree in business administration/logistics/materials/supply chain management (preferred).
- Six Sigma green/black belt or Lean leader certification (desirable).
- 30+ years? (30+ preferred) progressive experience leading operations strategy, roadmaps, and digital transformation of global manufacturing sites.
- Demonstrated ability to develop/sustain FotF teams and lead Industry 4.0 continuous improvement.
- Strong financial aptitude (cost/benefit analyses).
- Strong verbal/written communication; influence across the organization.
- Strong computer skills (email/virtual meeting systems).
- Strong project management and facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and judgment skills.
- Ability to drive transversal change (“influence without authority”).
- Ability to read/understand latest technical advancements (big data, AI/ML, IoT, cybersecurity) and connect them to organizational processes and infrastructure.
