Role Summary

Executive Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist, Respiratory Specialty Care - Memphis, TN. Senior Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist - Respiratory Specialty Care focused on educating healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing and drive territory sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop superior product and disease state knowledge; educate and engage healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, indications, and product safety profiles.
  • Operate with a high degree of sales proficiency to drive sales performance; meet or exceed forecasts and budgets.
  • Complete training requirements, including product examinations.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information for the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Business Director and District Sales Manager to create local strategies and business plans to increase sales.
  • Capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities via Strategic Targeting Plans; utilize promotional resources and analytical tools to maximize territory effectiveness.
  • Provide special education to healthcare providers within AstraZeneca's ethical guidelines; coordinate with other Sales Specialists to align efforts.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Required: 5+ years of demonstrated Sales or Commercial experience or related pharmaceutical/healthcare/scientific background
  • Required: Valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Skills

  • Knowledge of medical, healthcare, or pharmacy industry; ability to translate clinical information into actionable discussions
  • Ability to call on Respiratory Specialists (e.g., Pulmonologists, Allergists) and health systems/large group practices
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills; sound judgment and decision-making
  • Results-oriented with effective time management; ability to analyze and convey complex information
  • Respiratory sales experience (preferred)

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
