Position Summary
Responsible for driving sales, developing business, and addressing customer needs within an assigned long-term care (LTC) territory. Manages relationships with prescribers, pharmacists, facility decision-makers, and other members of the LTC care team to ensure appropriate patients are identified, started, and maintained on therapy.

Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with LTC resident care teams (physicians, NP/PA, consultant pharmacists, dispensing pharmacists, nursing leadership/staff).
- Promote Acadia products with compliant clinical, disease state, and reimbursement education.
- Use advanced selling skills to address customer questions, concerns, and objections.
- Apply market/trend insights to business planning.
- Create and execute quarterly territory business/action plans to maximize reach, frequency, and impact within budget.
- Advise on pricing, reimbursement, and LTC profitability; liaison for access questions.
- Collaborate with sales management and cross-functional partners.
- Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, product launches, and training.
- Mentor/train junior sales specialists.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and LTC regulations.

Knowledge & Expertise (Required/Preferred)
- In-depth neuroscience, LTC market/payer systems (Part A, Part D), specialty distribution, and LTC regulations.
- Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms (e.g., Zoom, WebEx).

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (life sciences preferred).
- Sales Specialist: 3 years sales with 1+ year pharma/related healthcare sales (neuroscience preferred).
- Sr. Sales Specialist: 8+ years healthcare sales; 2+ years complex/account-based selling.
- Executive Sales Specialist: 12+ years healthcare sales; 3+ years complex/account-based selling.
- Regional leadership/mentorship, strong business acumen, organization, self-motivation.
- Reside within territory (or within 30 miles); near major airport if required.
- Valid driver’s license; able to drive and travel independently; up to 80% travel.
- Meet vaccination and facility access requirements.
