Position Summary
Responsible for driving sales, developing business, and addressing customer needs within an assigned long-term care (LTC) territory. Manages relationships with prescribers, pharmacists, facility decision-makers, and other members of the LTC care team to ensure appropriate patients are identified, started, and maintained on therapy.

Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, NP/PA, consultant pharmacists, dispensing pharmacists, and nursing facility leadership/staff.
- Promote Acadia products with compliant clinical, disease state, and reimbursement education.
- Address customer questions/objections with advanced selling skills.
- Use customer/practice and local/regional market trends to drive business planning.
- Create and execute quarterly territory business/action plans using data.
- Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and LTC profitability; liaison for access questions.
- Collaborate with sales management, territory teammates, and cross-functional partners.
- Represent Acadia at conferences, exhibits, product launches, and training sessions.
- Mentor and train new/junior Sales Specialists.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and LTC requirements.

Knowledge & Expertise
- Neuroscience, LTC market dynamics, payer systems (Part A/Part D), specialty distribution, LTC regulations.
- Microsoft Office and virtual platforms (Zoom/WebEx).

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (life sciences preferred).
- Sales Specialist: 3 years sales experience; at least 1 year pharmaceutical/related healthcare sales (neuroscience preferred).
- Sr. Sales Specialist: 8+ years healthcare sales; 2+ years complex/account-based selling.
- Executive Sales Specialist: 12+ years healthcare sales; 3+ years complex/account-based selling.
- Regional leadership/mentorship; business acumen and self-motivation.
- Reside within territory (or within 30 miles); near major airport if required.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel independently by air; travel up to 80%.
- Meet vaccination and facility access requirements.

Position levels/comp (base): Sales Specialist $115,000; Sr. $135,000; Executive $155,000. Salary range: $124,000–$155,000 USD.
