Position Summary
Responsible for driving sales, developing business, and addressing customer needs within an assigned long-term care (LTC) territory.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build relationships with LTC resident care team (physicians, NP/PA, consultant/dispensing pharmacists, facility leadership).
- Promote products with compliant clinical, disease-state, and reimbursement education.
- Use advanced selling to address customer questions/objections.
- Use market insight to create and execute quarterly territory business/action plans.
- Advise on pricing/reimbursement and act as liaison for access-related questions.
- Collaborate with sales management and cross-functional partners.
- Represent company at conferences/training; contribute to regional/national initiatives.
- Mentor/train new Sales Specialists.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and LTC regulations.
Knowledge & Expertise (Required/Preferred)
- Neuroscience, LTC market dynamics, payer systems (Part A/Part D), specialty distribution, LTC regulations.
- Ability to be recognized as an LTC subject-matter expert.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual engagement tools (e.g., Zoom, WebEx).
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required (life sciences preferred).
- Sales Specialist: 3 years sales incl. 1 year pharma/related healthcare (neuroscience preferred).
- Sr. Specialist: 8+ years healthcare sales with 2+ years complex/account-based selling.
- Executive: 12+ years healthcare sales with 3+ years complex/account-based selling.
- Leadership/mentorship at regional level; strong business acumen.
- Must reside in/near territory; valid driverβs license; travel up to 80%.
- Meet vaccination/facility access requirements.
