Position Summary
Responsible for driving sales, developing business, and addressing customer needs within an assigned long-term care (LTC) territory. Manages relationships with prescribers, pharmacists, and LTC decision-makers to ensure appropriate patients are identified, started, and maintained on therapy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with LTC resident care team members (physicians/NPs/PAs, consultant and dispensing pharmacists, and nursing facility leadership/staff).
- Deliver compliant clinical, disease state, and reimbursement education to promote products.
- Use advanced selling skills to address customer questions, concerns, and objections.
- Use customer/practice/market insights to develop business plans; create and execute quarterly territory action plans.
- Provide guidance on pricing, reimbursement, and LTC profitability parameters; act as liaison for access-related questions.
- Collaborate with sales management and cross-functional partners.
- Represent the company at conferences, launches, and training; mentor junior sales specialists.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and LTC regulations.
Knowledge & Expertise (Preferred/Required)
- In-depth neuroscience and LTC/payer (Part A, Part D) and specialty distribution knowledge.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree required (life sciences preferred).
- Sales Specialist: 3 years sales (โฅ1 year pharma/related healthcare; neuroscience preferred).
- Sr. Specialist: 8 years healthcare sales; โฅ2 years complex/account-based selling.
- Executive: 12 years healthcare sales; โฅ3 years complex/account-based selling.
- Strong negotiation/selling, leadership/mentorship, business acumen.
- Reside within territory (or within 30 miles); valid driverโs license; up to 80% travel; meet vaccination/facility access requirements.
