Role Responsibilities:
- Lead publication & medical communications strategy, execution, and development across therapeutic areas/assets.
- Prioritize and address healthcare community needs/education gaps using appropriate channels/materials.
- Manage Medical Information Services to ensure intake and response to inquiries and phone requests.
- Develop compliant medical/scientific information (e.g., response documents, letters, FAQs, AMCP dossiers) using advanced clinical/medical expertise.
- Recommend improvements to Medical Information Contact Center operations to ensure quality and satisfaction.
- Lead gap analysis to assess medical information needs and modify fulfillment strategies.
- Lead medical review operations and contributions to Materials Approval Process (MAP) for promotional materials and Medical Review Process (MedRP) for medical materials.
- Lead publications/medical communications capabilities, including project management, budgets, and external partners.
- Oversee medical writers/external partners for high-quality, timely, compliant deliverables aligned with publication policies.
- Lead cross-functional meetings and act as liaison to internal/external stakeholders; maintain publication workflow tools/systems and compliance adherence.
Qualifications & Required/Preferred Skills:
- PhD/PharmD/Masterβs (scientific discipline) required.
- 15+ years medical/scientific publications or medical communications experience required; 5+ years director-level leadership in life sciences required.
- Expertise in clinical/scientific publication structure, quality, regulations, and best practices; expert-level writing.
- Working knowledge of statistical concepts and ability to interpret clinical data.
- Knowledge of multi-channel scientific platforms and innovative tactics.
- Preferred: CMPP/AMWA; medical fellowship/residency in Medical Affairs/Medical Communications.

Working Conditions:
- Hybrid in Chicago office; at least 3 days/week onsite (may change). Evening/weekend work as needed; travel up to 25%.
