Medical Affairs
Field Medical Affairs Lead (Field-based; travel 60–70%)

Responsibilities:
- Recruit, onboard, train, and lead a national team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) for launch readiness.
- Define and implement the field medical operating model (territory design, call planning, engagement metrics, performance standards).
- Serve as player-coach with a personal KOL portfolio while guiding team engagement strategy.
- Foster a high-performance, learning-oriented culture grounded in scientific integrity, compliance, and patient-centricity.
- Co-develop and execute the field Medical Affairs Launch Plan with VP Medical Affairs, aligned to commercial, clinical, and regulatory timelines.
- Operationalize the Medical Launch Readiness Framework (KPIs, milestones, cross-functional accountability).
- Lead pre-launch KOL identification/mapping and ensure MSL engagement ahead of approval.
- Coordinate medical input across launch workstreams.
- Drive readiness milestones (MSL training curricula, scientific platform deployment, reactive/proactive protocols) and establish field feedback loops.
- Oversee KOL engagement and medical advisory boards, symposia, and congress strategies.
- Guide compliant scientific exchange and represent Field Medical at congresses.
- Collaborate on MSL onboarding/continuous training; maintain scientific fluency (journal clubs, clinical updates); ensure MLR review compliance.
- Serve as Field Medical representative on the Launch Core Team; partner with HEOR/Market Access and Clinical Operations; contribute to evidence generation planning (IIS, RWE, registry).
- Define field medical metrics/dashboards; deliver reporting; use insights to inform medical strategy and evidence gaps.

Qualifications:
Required:
- PharmD/MD/PhD (or equivalent life sciences).
- 12+ years Medical Affairs; 3–5 years MSL leadership/field medical management.
- Experience scaling field medical teams in launch/pre-launch settings.
- National-level KOL relationship development.
- Deep MSL best practices, field medical compliance standards, OPDP/regulatory guidelines for scientific exchange.
- Exceptional scientific communication.
- Therapeutic area experience (e.g., oncology, rare disease, immunology).
Preferred:
- Biotech experience with first/second launch.
- Familiarity with Veeva CRM or Salesforce Health Cloud.
- HEOR/RWE/registry evidence generation exposure.
- Prior clinical practice/patient care.
