Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute a strategic, tiered KOL development plan across national, regional, and emerging retina opinion leaders.
- Build engagement framework (advisory boards, 1:1 executive engagements, informal dinners, scientific forums, collaborative partnerships).
- Identify/cultivate high-influence retina specialists across academic medical centers, community practices, and centers of excellence; establish KOL segmentation aligned to commercial priorities, scientific influence, and advocacy potential.
- Drive DURAVYU clinical conviction and scientific credibility among retina community.
- Recruit, hire, and lead a field-based Field Marketing Manager team; represent EyePoint to retina thought leaders.
- Partner with Medical Affairs on field-based insight development.
- Build/manage a nationwide retina advocacy network; engage next-generation leaders, fellowship directors, and rising KOLs; coordinate seamless transitions between scientific and commercial engagement.
- Partner with KOLs on scientific communications, podium presentations, peer-influence content, and disease-awareness content; drive KOL-led social media and digital advocacy.
- Serve as strategic liaison between retina KOL community and commercial organizations; integrate KOL insights into strategy, launch planning, and messaging; coordinate with P2P/HCP Marketing/Medical Affairs; capture and relay field intelligence and competitive insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years pharmaceutical/biotech commercial experience focused on KOL engagement, physician advocacy, and/or field-based marketing.
- Proven success building/managing physician opinion leader networks; KOL strategy execution; strong cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Experience
- Ophthalmology/retinal market; retina congress/KOL network experience; digital/social advocacy; biotechnology launch experience.
Salary Range: $257,500 USD - $326,167 USD
