About The Role
Responsible for the strategic planning, direction and leadership of all brand activities and initiatives for VYKAT XR. Leads the brand team in developing and executing marketing strategies and programs and collaborates with cross-functional partners to support successful commercialization.
Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to)
- Develops and authorizes implementation of commercialization strategic plans
- Drives implementation of new ideas/approaches for successful new product commercialization
- Develops and executes the brand operational plan (business planning, budgeting, strategy, marketing communications)
- Oversees tactical initiatives through subordinate managers/employees
- Anticipates factors impacting brand strategy and provides innovative solutions
- Advises senior management on brand issues/initiatives
- Serves as SME for product, market, and treatment landscape
- Fosters partnerships across marketing, medical affairs, market access, sales, legal, regulatory, and other functions
- Leads development/implementation of HCP and patient program platforms; drives peer-to-peer HCP education
- Drives creation of US HCP and consumer-facing print/digital materials for field use
- Develops proactive strategies using market/competitive insights; maximizes brand potential
- Serves on promotional review committee; ensures compliant promotional material review
- Manages external agencies and brand operating budget
- Selects/develops/evaluates personnel
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- BS/BA in life science, business, or marketing/advertising AND 17+ years in pharma/life sciences (preferably brand strategist); commercialization/product launch and building product brand(s preferred
- OR Masterβs degree or MBA preferred AND 15+ years similar experience
- Extensive previous leadership experience
- Expert understanding of brand development process
- Strong leadership and ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, consensus environment; cross-functional operation
- Expertise in commercialization, product launches, and premium/aspirational brands
- Demonstrated ability to develop/execute plans, messaging, and brand guidelines; strategic marketing campaigns; measurable results
- Excellent communications/creative instincts; acts as trusted advisor
- In-depth knowledge of functional area/business strategies/company goals; rare disease brand knowledge
- Strong organizational and project development skills; proven influencing skills
Benefits/Compensation
- Annual base salary: $261,800.00β$357,000.00; annual bonus target 35% of earned base; equity-based long-term incentive eligibility; retirement plan (company match), paid time off, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and medical/dental/vision coverage.
