Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach the National Account Director team to execute managed markets and payer engagement strategy across all brands.
- Drive high-quality payer account plans to optimize formulary access, reimbursement, and patient affordability.
- Build executive-level relationships with PBMs, HPDMs, government channels (e.g., Medicaid, VA/DoD), large health systems, and IDNs.
- Establish relationships with formulary/P&T/pathway leaders and medical/pharmacy directors to secure access and optimal positioning.
- Co-create strategies, tools, and tactics for the field team; coordinate cross-functional solutions for access and reimbursement challenges.
- Collaborate on pricing and contracting, HEOR evidence generation, patient support programs, payer marketing initiatives, and account management approaches.
- Lead alignment and negotiation discussions on access/coverage/reimbursement/contract strategies.
- Foster a high-performance culture (accountability, urgency, ethics, professional development) and model company values.
- Stay current on payer policies, reimbursement processes, and competitive activity; provide strategic insights.
- Ensure Managed Markets initiatives are developed and executed in compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years progressive experience in market access/payer account management, pricing, contracting, and reimbursement (pharma/biotech).
- 10+ years leadership experience managing high-performing Market Access/National Account teams.
- Extensive experience negotiating contracts with commercial, government, and integrated healthcare customers.
- Deep U.S. healthcare ecosystem knowledge (commercial, PBMs, Medicare/Medicaid, VA/DoD, IDNs).
- Strong strategic, financial, negotiation, leadership, and relationship management skills; exceptional communication.
Benefits/Compensation (as stated):
- Salary range: $255,000β$310,000.
- Eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives; not commission-based.
