Exec. Director, US Market Access

Role: Executive Director, US Market Access at BioCryst, leading strategies and team management to optimize product access and reimbursement in the US for rare disease therapeutics. Responsibilities: develop and execute market access strategies; lead a team of Market Access Directors; collaborate with sales, marketing, patient services, and payers; prepare strategic account plans; oversee payer interactions; monitor coverage trends and barriers; liaise with key industry associations; and support product launch preparations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred; minimum 10 years in biopharma, with 5-7 years in US market access roles; experience in rare disease or specialty product launches; proven leadership in payers, government accounts, and field reimbursement; deep knowledge of specialty pharmacy and distribution; compliance with pharma regulations; strong strategic, negotiation, and communication skills; entrepreneurial mindset; willing to travel 20-30%.
