Event Execution
- Ensure banquet events are set up, staffed, and executed per BEOs (Banquet Event Orders)
- Complete room setup, dΓ©cor placement, table arrangements, buffet lines, bars, and service stations
- Confirm event spaces are clean, organized, and guest-ready
- Manage timelines so events start/finish on schedule
- Adapt to last-minute event changes or guest requests
Guest Experience
- Provide high-level hospitality to banquet hosts and guests
- Serve as main point of contact to resolve issues quickly and professionally
- Ensure service standards are upheld throughout the event
- Anticipate guest needs and create a smooth, memorable experience
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, schedule, and supervise banquet staff
- Communicate clear expectations before each event
- Hold staff accountable for service standards
- Support staff during high-volume events and lead by example
- Foster teamwork between banquet, kitchen, bar, and management
Communication & Organization
- Submit/print BEOs and CC AUTHs two weeks prior to the event
- Review BEOs daily; communicate details to FOH and BOH teams
- Coordinate with chefs and FOH managers for accurate execution
- Relay changes, special requests, allergies, and timelines
Financial Responsibility
- Manage banquet labor to align with sales/business needs
- Monitor supply usage and control operating costs
- Minimize waste/breakage/unnecessary overtime; support revenue goals
Standards & Cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness/organization/safety in banquet spaces and storage areas
- Ensure equipment is set/stored/maintained; enforce food safety and alcohol service policies
- Complete breakdown/reset duties after events
Problem Solving & Accountability
- Stay calm under pressure; make effective decisions during service
- Handle complaints/issues professionally and immediately
- Take ownership of event success; follow through on details
Professionalism
- Arrive on time; if late, notify manager (Maki)
- Maintain professional appearance/attitude
- Be dependable, flexible, and available nights/weekends/holidays
- Represent the company positively; demonstrate urgency, attention to detail, and solutions mindset
