District Sales Manager

What You Will Do
- Provide clinical knowledge of products to medical professionals; serve as a liaison to customers.
- Track progress of marketing messages and programs.
- Give feedback to district teams on marketing and the allocation/monitoring/leverage of internal and external resources (e.g., discretionary spend).
- Manage district teams to maximize performance and achieve/exceed sales and budget targets.
- Screen, interview, and hire candidates.
- Ensure compliance with training.
- Coach and counsel individuals for future development.
- Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and competency assessments.
- Communicate and coordinate with district and cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Finance, other business units).
- Share best practices; coordinate/participate in cluster teams.
- Conduct district sales meetings.
- Develop local Opinion Leader relationships.

Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 2 years Sales/Marketing OR Master’s + 6 years OR Bachelor’s + 8 years OR Associate’s + 10 years OR High school/GED + 12 years.
- 2 years managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs or directing resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years specialty sales; experience in biologics; buy-and-bill model.
- Clinical/data understanding; use clinical info to address customer questions/objections.
- Knowledge of local payor coverage.
- Coaching capability; recruiting/hiring sales reps meeting criteria.
- Strategic territory targeting; responsibility/self-discipline; set short- and long-term objectives.
