District Sales Manager
What You Will Do
- Oversee sales activities within a specific geographical district; manage a team of sales representatives.
- Set sales targets, develop strategies to achieve them, and report on sales metrics.
- Lead district team to maximize performance and achieve/exceed sales and budget targets.
- Coach and counsel individuals for future development.
- Screen, interview, and hire candidates; ensure compliance with training.
- Conduct annual and ongoing performance reviews and competency assessments.
- Communicate/coordinate with district and cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Finance).
- Track marketing messages/programs; provide feedback on marketing and allocation/monitoring/leverage of internal and external resources.
- Share best practices; coordinate/participate in cluster teams.
- Conduct district sales meetings; develop local Opinion Leader relationships.
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate + 2 years Sales/Marketing OR Master’s + 6 years OR Bachelor’s + 8 years OR Associate’s + 10 years OR High school/GED + 12 years Sales/Marketing.
- AND 2 years managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams/projects/programs or directing resource allocation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years specialty sales; 3+ years managing people in similar roles.
- Experience in biologics; buy-and-bill model experience.
- Clinical/data understanding; ability to use clinical info to address questions/objections.
- Knowledge of local payor coverage; recruiting/interviewing/hiring capability.
