Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the East Coast district (PA, NJ, MD, DC, VA, NC, SC): develop, enhance, and grow district sales performance to meet/exceed annual sales and market share objectives; execute district sales strategy/business plan.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; respond to customer needs; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information.
- Provide timely feedback to district sales representatives; identify performance gaps and create action plans; partner with Sales Director and HR on disciplinary actions up to/including terminations.
- Analyze team and sales/territory performance; track and reinforce sales force effectiveness (reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, proper use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain top talent; coach and counsel direct reports to ensure accountability, maximize performance, and support professional development.
- Ensure business is conducted in compliance with applicable company policies/procedures and uphold high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with Sales Director and direct reports; share “Best Practices” across the district; act as liaison between home office and district to identify and resolve issues.
- Apply organizational change management tools; create a high-performing, development-focused team environment; exercise fiscal control over operating budgets.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Prior pharmaceutical/healthcare sales management District Manager experience (preferred); medical devices/other healthcare products sales (preferred).
- Travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Must reside in district geography.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Authorization/ability to drive a company leased or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, comprehending, reading, writing).
Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000–$222,000 (varies by skills, experience, and location).
