This role is field-based. Candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. This geography covers all of Arkansas and Louisiana, and parts of Mississippi (including Hattiesburg).
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate in-field activity with teams to achieve agreed-upon targets and increase sales.
- Create, implement, and communicate a District Sales Plan; monitor progress.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day and long-term business execution; set the tone and pace for business processes.
- Lead teams with a market and franchise/business point of view by mastering product and disease-state information and relevant market dynamics (including Managed Care).
- Coach, mentor, educate, and develop direct and indirect team members; hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Provide direction and insights to key internal partners in the business planning process; exemplify the AbbVie Ways of Working.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field (preferred) OR relevant/equivalent industry experience (required).
- Business analysis and planning skills that drive sales performance.
- Proven District Manager leadership: in good standing with safety and compliance; minimum four years pharmaceutical sales management experience; meeting performance expectations; demonstrates AbbVie leadership attributes.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making; ability to articulate scientific aspects of treatments and therapeutic areas.
- Ability to deliver candid feedback, manage performance, and develop talent.
- Ability to create a culture of winning and full team engagement.
- Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements for assigned territory entry (including background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses as required).
- Driving requirement: drive a personal auto/company vehicle or powered material handling equipment.
- Valid driverโs license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
