Key Responsibilities:
- Lead district sales performance across key markets in PA, VA, MD, WV, and Washington, DC to meet/exceed annual sales and market share objectives; execute regional/district sales strategies (business plan).
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with key executives and decision makers; conduct account reviews; monitor product usage and purchasing patterns; update contract information as required.
- Provide timely feedback to sales representatives; identify performance challenges and create plans to address gaps; partner with sales director(s) and HR on disciplinary actions up to termination.
- Analyze team performance using sales figures and territory data; track/reinforce sales force effectiveness (e.g., reach/frequency, strategy adherence, tactical implementation, use of funds/systems/tools).
- Recruit and retain talent; coach, counsel, and develop direct reports; ensure accountability and high performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies/procedures for self and sales representatives; promptly report noted/observed violations; maintain high ethical/professional standards.
- Communicate with supervisor and direct reports; share “Best Practices” across the region; act as liaison with home office/region to identify and resolve issues.
- Assess and apply change management tools to manage change impact and ensure successful implementation.
- Create a high-performance team environment; foster a solution-oriented vision balancing long-term strategy with immediate results.
- Exercise fiscal control on allocated operating budgets.
- Take direction from Regional Director (marketing/standards) and cascade requirements to sales teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare product sales management experience (combination of education/experience considered).
- Must live in the applicable geographic district.
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational, and management skills.
- Ability to travel 60–70% (including overnight).
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Authorization/ability to drive a company leased vehicle or authorized rental vehicle.
- Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior successful pharmaceutical/healthcare Sales Manager experience; medical devices or other healthcare products sales experience.
Benefits/Compensation:
- Salary range: $148,000–$222,000 (varies by skills, experience, and location).
